Hypnos is one of those rare games you notice not because it shouts about its mechanics or story, but because it simply looks unlike anything else out there. This first-person adventure drops you into what’s described as a lovecraftian megastructure fever dream, and honestly, that’s about as mysterious as it gets. I have no clear idea what you’re supposed to do in Hypnos yet, but the moment I stepped inside its sprawling, cosmic horror world, I was hooked by the atmosphere alone. Its aesthetic feels fresh, almost hypnotic, and in a sea of indie games trying to fit into neat genre boxes, that uniqueness is what grabbed me first. Sometimes a game’s vibe is a promise all on its own.
